Brain Candy

Oh, you're here. Great. Take a seat, have a Stummies, because the Mikes are going to try to sell you some Gleemonex after they discuss the 1996 Kids In The Hall comedy, Brain Candy.

Listen as Mike Butler and Mike Field tell you why this forgotten comedy is actually filled with comedic gold. While not a perfect film by any means, Brain Candy has a ton of quotable moments and silly gags that will keep you watching; even if the film's story could use some work, or in Butler's opinion, could have been more vignette based. The Mikes will quote some lines, talk about some drama surrounding the making of this comedy, and let you know that Siskel and Ebert actually argued about this film back in the day.

And remember "Smile. It's free."

So, grab your popcorn and soda, please notice the exits to the left and right of you and settle down for Forgotten Cinema

About the Podcast

Forgotten Cinema
A podcast about forgotten films that deserve a second chance
Welcome to Forgotten Cinema! Each episode, Mike Field and Mike Butler highlight a film that for a variety of reasons was forgotten by audiences. Whether it be because a more popular movie was released at the same time or the movie simply didn’t catch on with an audience in the its initial run. We’ll discuss what we love about the movie or perhaps don’t love about it and decide whether the movie is worth a revisit.
