Lockout

It's the penultimate episode of Forgotten Cinema and the Mikes are going to prison...

SPACE PRISON!

Join Mike Butler and Mike Field as they discuss the 2012 Luc Besson produced sci-fi action film Lockout, starring Guy Pearce. The Mikes talk about how they love Pierce's ripped from the 90's action hero, Snow, but regret that he wasn't placed in a better more (literally) grounded film. Butler loves the nostalgic feeling this movie has in it's feeling like a movie from a decade or two prior, but cannot and does not defend it from Field pointing out the poor story, shoddy CGI, and annoying secondary villain.

About the Podcast

Forgotten Cinema
A podcast about forgotten films that deserve a second chance
Welcome to Forgotten Cinema! Each episode, Mike Field and Mike Butler highlight a film that for a variety of reasons was forgotten by audiences. Whether it be because a more popular movie was released at the same time or the movie simply didn’t catch on with an audience in the its initial run. We’ll discuss what we love about the movie or perhaps don’t love about it and decide whether the movie is worth a revisit.
